This is probably my favorite band from Japan. These photos were taken at my favorite venue the Che Cafe, which is located on the campus of UCSD. It's an all ages volunteer venue that only holds about 100 to 200 people. In it's day they had some excellent bands play like Jimmy Eat World, The Get Up Kids, and At the Drive-In to name a few. This is one of my favorite sets of photos. It just really captures what Eastern Youth is about. They've toured with the likes of At the Drive-In and Cursive, so you know they're doing something right if they are getting noticed all the way from Japan.

My third time seeing these guys, and they just get better each time. They were doing a short US tour in support of their new album 365-Step Blues. The Knitting Factory is probably one of my favorite venues because the staff there is very friendly and they're not pricks, unlike some other venues in LA. I didn’t think that many people would show up, but the house was packed!
